Job Title: Respite Care Coordinator/Custodian
Department: Dawson County Senior Services
Salary: $14.80 Hourly
Status: full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the interaction, activities, engagement, and care for respite clients along with daily custodial duties for Senior Services buildings including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, etc.   Employee receives supervision from Senior Service Director.

Job Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and the applicant must have the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.  Applicant must possess sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.  Applicant must have previous experience with senior clients in a daily activity center, and some custodial experience preferred.  Must be physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.  Applicant must provide good customer service and have the ability to interact with people of all ages and abilities. Individual must be a citizen of the United States or qualified to work in the United States, have no felony convictions, must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and be able to pass a background check and a drug screening.
