OPEN PLAY

The Dawson County Parks & Recreation Department offers open play for all pickleball levels.  Three indoor courts at Rock Creek Park are designated for pickleball as scheduled below.  Two outdoor courts at Rock Creek are open regular park hours on a first-come, first-served basis.  Two indoor courts at Veterans Memorial Park will open in March 2022. 

• Open play is free of charge for all players 
• Open play is designed for those who know the basic rules and scoring
• Please bring your own balls and paddles
   

Mondays

• at Veterans Memorial Park (2 courts)
• 6:00-9:00PM  -  All players welcome
• March thru mid-October only (to allow for youth recreation basketball season)

Tuesdays

• at Rock Creek Park (3 courts)
• 9:00-11:30AM   -  All players welcome
• Year-round with the exception of when summer camps are taking place*

Wednesdays

• at Rock Creek Park (3 courts)
• 6:00-9:00PM  -  All players welcome
• Year-round but subject to change during youth recreation basketball season*

Thursdays

• at Rock Creek Park (3 courts)
• 9:00-11:30AM   -  All players welcome
• Year-round with the exception of when summer camps are taking place*

Sundays

• at Rock Creek Park (3 courts)
• 3:00-4:00PM  -  Beginners only (when clinics are scheduled, they will be held during this time slot)
• 4:00-9:00PM  -  All players welcome
• Year-round; however, times may vary during the youth basketball season (October-February)

*Morning hours and availability are subject to change during summer camp season (June-July).  Evening hours and availability are subject to change during youth basketball season (October-February).
