Job Title: Senior Advocate
Department: Dawson County Senior Services
Location:  Dawsonville, GA  30534
Salary: $16.32 - $18.64 hourly
Status: Full Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for offering assistance to all seniors located in Dawson County as well as researching and implementing activities for the Senior Center Director and clients.

Job Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess a high school diploma or GED; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides a sufficient level of understanding of the essential duties of the position; usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.  Applicant must possess effective communication skills, both oral and written, be able to interact well with the public and provide good interpersonal relations with a variety of age groups.  Applicant should be CPR/AED certified or able to readily obtain certification within three (3) months of start date.  Individual must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
