Information Technology

Dawson County Information Technology (DCIT) provides a wide range of technology services and resources targeted to ensure Dawson County employees are supplied with the necessary tools to enable them to deliver quality services to their constituents. Our services include technical support services for IT infrastructure (e.g. data center, networks, telecommunications, hardware, etc.), IT applications support (e.g. enterprise software, business systems, web/integration) and IT administrative support services (IT project management, IT procurement, records).

The internal and external environments of Dawson County are ever changing and technology is a critical supporter of the development, implementation, and enhancement of services to the citizens, employees, businesses, and visitors of Dawson County. As one of the fastest growing counties in the State of Georgia and due to the dynamic demands imposed on our government leaders, it is imperative that there is an overall approach for the selection, use and support of technology and that it aligns with county resources, business needs, and processes.

Dawson County Information Technology is committed to a value system of service excellence. Our vision is to be the most efficient, effective, stable and secure technology operation in government.
