DCARGIS Collaborative Map

Welcome to our new DCARGIS Collaborative Map! With this map, anyone can search for their address/property and see data provided by various organizations such as water and sewer lines, land lots, school districts, and so much more. To use this map, you will need to agree to the disclaimer that pop's up, click in the search bar and type in your preferred location information, then hit "Enter" and the map will automatically zoom in to the point of interest. The format for entering the parcel number should look like this if it is 6 digits (123 456) and this if it is 9 digits (123 456 789).

This map is comprised of main 5 group layers which represent Etowah Water and Sewer, City of Dawsonville, Dawson County Schools, Dawson County Government, and Geographical Boundaries and Features. These group layers can be expanded to show all of the other layers within, which can be turned on and off individually, or the entire group layer can be turned off. For instance, the City of Dawsonville group layer has two layers within it “City Limits” and “City Zoning Districts”. Next to each layer is an eye symbol that when clicked will turn layers on and off, which means you can turn off an individual layer (like City Limits) or you can turn off the Group Layer (which would turn off both the City Limits as well as the City Zoning Districts). This allows map users to only overlay the layers they want to see rather than trying to sift through multiple layers that overlap each other and would make the map difficult to read. The majority of the layers also have information tied to them, so when someone clicks on a road, water line, district, etc… they can see information regarding the selected feature (Right of Way, Pipe Diameter, District Number, etc...).
